Spring Landscape

I found myself in the world of Chinoiserie after a client commissioned a Chinoiserie mural last year. Chinoiseries are a huge undertaking, I was at first hesitant to go ahead with the challenge. Once I started, I realised how much my style suited Chinoiseries, and I enjoyed every moment painting the many birds, Butterflies and Botanicals.

Spring Landscape is a six drop mural, originally hand painted in Gouache on stone henge paper. It captures the height of spring when all the flowers are at full bloom and all the birds and butterflies are out to enjoy them.

Butterflies

I loved the butterflies I painted for the Spring Landscape mural, so I decided they deserved a design all to their own. The result is a beautiful and fun design where the butterflies look as though they can take flight right off the wall. All originally hand painted in gouache.

The Field

The Field is a 3 drop chinoiserie style mural, with birds calmly taking their afternoon stroll amongst the fertile fields searching for their dinner. All hand painted in gouache on stone henge paper then digitally captured.

Camelia Tree

Camelia Tree is a 3 drop mural all hand painted in Gouache, showcasing a large scale Camelia Tree with beautiful birds adorning its branches that are full of bursting Camelia flowers and butterflies happily flying around.

Bamboo

I have wanted to create a bamboo design for a while now, to create a design where the stems move in and out as the birds use them as platforms to hunt for their pray.

I chose to keep the leaves all white making the birds and butterfly’s pop.

White Blossom Tree

White Blossom Tree design was inspired by the local Camelia trees here in Sydney, its flowers are so small and white, they look like snowflakes that have scattered all over the tree and the ground. The result is a sweet, fresh, delicate and timeless floral.
